The scholarship supports students with a vision impairment in undertaking study at Te Whare Wānanga o Waitaha | University of Canterbury. Value/Benefits: Financial assistance to a value of $10,000.Level of Study: Undergraduate, PostgraduateClosing Date: 11:59 pm (NZT) 31 March (Applications open approximately 8 weeks before this date.) Tenure: One yearNumber available annually: One Applicable enrolment during tenure: Applicants must be enrolled, full-time or part-time, at the University at either undergraduate or postgraduate level. Citizenship/residency requirements: Applicants must be New Zealand citizens or holders of New Zealand residence class visas.Special Requirements: Applicants must have a vision impairment of 6/18 or less with both eyes and best possible correction, or less than 20 degrees of vision. It replaces the Lighthouse Vision Trust Susan Barnes Memorial Scholarship, which had been established in 2014.
