About the scholarship

This scholarship assists and encourages students studying Civil or Natural Resources Engineering at Te Whare W?nanga o Waitaha | University of Canterbury into a career specialising in the areas of geotechnical, water resources, or civil engineering.Value/Benefits:a. $5,000b. Provided a suitable position is available, Riley Consultants Ltd may offer the recipient paid employment during the summer vacation at the end of tenure.Level of Study during Tenure: Undergraduate Closing Date:11:59 pm (NZT) 31 March (Applications open approximately 8 weeks before this date.) Tenure: One year Number Available Annually: One Applicable Enrolment During Tenure: Full-time enrolment in Second Year or Third Year of a BE(Hons) programme specialising in Civil Engineering or Natural Resources Engineering. Citizenship/Residency Requirements: Applicants must be Aotearoa New Zealand citizens or holders of Aotearoa New Zealand residence class visas. It replaces the Riley Consultants Ltd Geotechnical and Water Resource Scholarship, which the company had established in 2007. Riley Consultants Ltd is an Aotearoa New Zealand employee-owned and -operated, multi-disciplinary consultancy providing a range of water, civil, geotechnical and environmental engineering services to clients in the energy, land, and water sectors. The work Riley Consultants Ltd carries out spans Aotearoa New Zealand and the Pacific. Riley Consultants Ltd employ 90 staff across two main office locations: T?maki Makaurau Auckland and ?tautahi Christchurch.
