NZILA was founded in 1991 to promote interest in, and understanding of, the law relating to insurance and to encourage the exchange of information and ideas concerning insurance law. It is a not-for-profit association which encourages collaboration between those working in the insurance industry and lawyers practising in this field. The primary function is delivering educational and networking opportunities, such as seminars and conferences, for topics of interest to its members.
