About the scholarship

Two Macmillan Brown Essay Prizes shall be awarded annually for the most original essays submitted by students in their first year of study as part of the year's work in a course in English Literature at the 100 level.Value/Benefits: Financial assistance at a value of $500 (First Prize) $300 (Second Prize). One-fifth of the prize shall be spent on books, to each of which, where appropriate, a suitable bookplate shall be affixed.
