About the scholarship

This scholarship is to assist and encourage towards a career in music, students enrolled in a programme of study at Te Kura Puoro | School of Music at Te Whare W?nanga o Waitaha University of Canterbury.Value/Benefits: Financial assistance at a value of $10,000 Level of Study: Any. Preference is given to students for an MusB(Hons), BA(Hons) in Music, MMus, MA in Music, DMA, or PhD in Music. Closing Date: 11:59 pm (NZT) 1 November (Applications open approximately 8 weeks before this date) Tenure: One year Number Available Annually: One Applicable Enrolment During Tenure: Full-time enrolment in a degree programme with a major in Music. Citizenship/Residency Requirements: Applicants must be citizens of Aotearoa New Zealand or holders of Aotearoa New Zealand residence class visas. The Trust was set up in 1977 with a substantial donation from Farina Thompson and additional gifts from her family. Perpetual Guardian is the trustee of the trust and administers the trust from its ?tautahi Christchurch branch office.The purpose of the scholarship is to assist and encourage students enrolled in a programme of study at the University of Canterbury?s School of Music towards a career in music.
