About the scholarship
This scholarship supports New Zealand university graduates who have shown ability in physics or a combination of physics and mathematics to undertake further advanced study or research in meteorology or some other branch of science, either in New Zealand or overseas.This scholarship is offered by Universities New Zealand (UNZ) and applications can be made on their website by following the link below.Value/Benefits: Financial assistance with the costs associated with university study, to a value of $6,000 per annum (based on available funding, so this may vary) for up to three years.Level of Study: Doctoral Closing Date: 1 October 2020 (NZT) Tenure: Up to three years Number Available Annually: Up to three Applicable Enrolment During Tenure: Full-time enrolment in Doctoral study Citizenship/Residency Requirements: Please refer to the regulations For more information and to apply, click here.Applicants must: be a graduate of a New Zealand universitybe of good characterhave shown an ability in physics or a combination of physics and mathematics; and be intending to undertake Doctoral study in meteorology, either in New Zealand or overseas.If, in any year, there is more than one suitable candidate for a scholarship, then preference will be given to one who has been a pupil of Nelson Boys' College, or, if there is no such candidate, then one who has been an undergraduate at the University of Canterbury.
