About the scholarship
The purpose of this scholarship is to inspire and support a thesis student in astronomy at the University of Canterbury who has been or will be undertaking observational work at Mt John as part of his/her thesis work.Value/Benefits: Financial assistance with the costs associated with university study, to a value of $5,000 per annum.Level of Study: Master's; Doctoral Closing Date: 5:00 pm (NZT) 1 November (Applications open approximately 8 weeks before this date) Tenure: One year (Masters); Up to three years (Doctoral) Number Available Annually: One Applicable Enrolment During Tenure: Must be enrolled at the University of Canterbury as a thesis student in astronomy, and have been, or will be, undertaking observational work at Mt John as part of the thesis work Citizenship/Residency Requirements: Not applicable For more information please read the regulations, click here.Applicants must:Be enrolled as a thesis student in Astronomy at the University of Canterbury; andHave been, or will be, undertaking observational work at Mount John Observatory as part of the thesis work.The scholarship is to support a postgraduate thesis student in astronomy who has been, or will be undertaking observational work at Mt John as part of his/her thesis work.
