About the scholarship

Up to $17,500 in Scholarships to support New Zealand citizens intending to enrol in postgraduate study in instrumental or vocal skills overseas.The Scholarship was established in 1998 and is funded by the estate of Mrs Robina Annie Reardon, MBE, to honour the memory of her late daughter Kathleen Mary Reardon, a student of Music at Auckland University College between 1946 and 1952.The main purpose of the Scholarship is to provide financial assistance for recent Music graduates to study overseas to improve their instrumental or vocal skills.

Entry requirements

The Scholarship will be open to students who are New Zealand citizens and who have completed, or will complete in the year of application, a Bachelor of Music, Bachelor of Music conjoint degree, Bachelor of Music (Honours), Postgraduate Diploma in Music or Master of Music at the University of Auckland, and who is intending to improve their instrumental or vocal skills overseas by enrolling in a postgraduate programme at a recognised overseas institution.
