About the scholarship
The AECOM Civil Engineering Scholarship was established in 2021 and is funded by AECOM New Zealand Limited, an international engineering consultancy and design firm.The main purpose of the Scholarship is to encourage and support students enrolled in a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) degree at the University of Auckland, specialising in Civil Engineering who have an interest in Water, Geotech, Transport and Structural (Bridges) Engineering.

Entry requirements
The Scholarship shall be awarded to a student enrolled full-time in Part III of a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) (BE(Hons)) degree in Civil Engineering. The Scholarship is tenable by students who are New Zealand citizens or permanent residents of New Zealand. The basis of selection will be academic achievement, and a personal statement describing the candidate’s technical ability; practical knowledge of the application of engineering skills; character, leadership potential and social skills; contribution to the University and/or community activities; and the candidate’s interest in Water, Geotech, Transport and Structural (Bridges) Engineering. Short-listed candidates will be required to attend an interview. A grade point average (GPA) of at least 5.00 (4.50 for Maori and Pacific candidates) is required for Scholarship consideration (see Note II).
