About the scholarship
A $3,000 Award to assist a New Zealand Citizen or Permanent Resident enrolled in any year of an MBChB degree who is experiencing financial need. The Award was established in 2013 in memory of Laurel Jones and is funded by the Laurel Dietrick Parks Foundation. Laurel was a former medical student who passed away before completing her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree. The main purpose of the Award is to provide support to an MBChB student, in the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences at Waipapa Taumata Rau, University of Auckland.
