About the scholarship
This scholarship supports academically able students entering tertiary study for the first time, whose financial or personal circumstances might have prevented them from considering entry to tertiary education in the absence of the scholarship. Up to fifteen scholarships are available annually, of which five are reserved for graduates of a Certificate of University Preparation programme at the University .

Entry requirements
Applicants must not have participated in a programme at any tertiary education institution (see the regulations for exceptions). They must be New Zealand citizens or holders of New Zealand residence class visas who have resided in New Zealand for at least the twelve months immediately preceding the closing date for applications. Recipients must be enrolled full-time during their tenure of the scholarship.
