About Us
Our school has a proud tradition of academic achievement, leadership opportunities, and service to others. We are here to support you on your academic pathway.
Sacred Heart Girls’ College, Hamilton, was founded in 1884 by the Sisters of Our Lady of the Missions. We are very proud of our long history and strong Catholic values.
Education is about more than results - it’s about building character, determination, and confidence for life beyond school. Every student has special talents, and we expect all girls to participate in school life and do their best in all areas.
For our international students, we provide a safe and supportive environment where girls feel at home, make new friends, and grow in knowledge and independence. Our dedicated staff ensure that every student is known, well looked after, both in their learning and in their daily life.
We arrange a caring homestay for each student, with wonderful opportunities to improve their English, immerse themselves in New Zealand culture, and have fun!
