About Us
Pakuranga College is a top co-educational high school with over 2,200 students. We have a long tradition of commitment to excellence and nurturing students who are well-prepared for university study.
When it comes to the curriculum, we place students firmly at the centre of their learning, supporting them to achieve their potential. Senior students have over 40 subjects to choose from ranging from academic disciplines such as Chemistry and Classical Studies to hands-on learning in our Food Technology and Product Design classes.
We believe in developing the whole student, not just the academic, and offer many ways for students to shine through a broad co-curricular programme. This programme offers students a variety of opportunities outside the classroom, including over 25 sports codes, arts experiences from music to drama, and the chance to experience new cultures (or appreciate their own more deeply) through our 15+ cultural groups.
Coming to study in New Zealand is also about more than just your time at school. It’s about experiencing our local attractions and there are plenty in East Auckland to keep you entertained, from mountain biking in our parks to swimming at our beautiful beaches. Our welcoming homestay families are always keen to show their host students Auckland’s highlights.
We look forward to welcoming you to the Pakuranga College family and to Auckland.
