About Us

It is our intention to improve the educational outcomes for all of our students at Manawatū College through the effective and engaging delivery of the New Zealand Curriculum. It is our desire to create an open, flexible, student-centred environment in which teachers and students are able to collaborate on a shared learning journey.

Our Vision and Mission

Welcome to the woven learning mat of Manawatū College. Here you will find the support for all learners to build for a strong resilient future.

About Manawatū

The name Manawatū, given to the area by our Māori ancestor Hau, means, ‘heart standing still’.

MANA and Restorative Practice

The MANA programme is alive in every classroom, every relationship, every communication and in our environment. Restorative processes will address behavioural issues in a way designed to “put things right” and strengthen relationships.
