Okaihau College is located in Okaihau which is in the heart of Te Tai Tokerau. We offer a modern and welcoming learning environment, with committed and supportive teaching and support staff. Our school is set in attractive grounds with covered courtyards for students use. We have extensive classroom facilities to deliver a modern curriculum with specialist rooms for music, drama, art, physical education, computing, graphics, workshop technologies as well as food and nutrition. Maori values and protocols are supported by our marae complex (Whakarongorua Marae).
Excellent academic success is coupled with an extensive sporting programme and comprehensive student support systems. Drama and Kapa Haka are particular strengths of the school. The school’s extra-curricular programme encourages all students to become involved in the full life of the school, irrespective of expertise or experience.
