Skills4Work is a training and workforce solutions organisation with the goal of assisting individuals and NZ businesses to lift their skills and productivity. We operate across a wide range of industries and sectors.

Key areas include baking, butchery, manufacturing, retail and schools. We have approximately 430 workplace bakery/butchery apprentices who are enrolled and we train in apprenticeship programmes.

As a NZQA category 1 registered accredited training provider Skills4Work can offer:

• NZQA qualifications and individual unit standard programmes to train for identified skill gaps, and to recognise existing competencies in staff.
• Non NZQA short courses to cover specific areas of business improvement, resulting in behavioural and practical skills changes.

We also offer customised workplace training (short courses) tailored to the company's requirements giving learners training content and examples that are familiar to their job.

We have offered our programmes/courses through face to face and distance modes of delivery with supported on-job or work-based components.

Skills4Work has offered training in a wide range of areas including:

• Workplace Literacy and Numeracy (including Financial Literacy)
• Butchery (New Zealand Certificate in Trade Butchery (Level 4)
• Baking (New Zealand Certificate in Trade Baking (Craft), (Level 4)
• Sale of Liquor for Managers
• Assessor Training 4098 (Use standards to assess candidate performance) and 11281 (Prepare candidates for assessment against standards)
• Workplace Health and Safety – New HSWA 2015 (unit 497), via distance
• NZQA food handling certificate (units 167 & 168), via distance
• Skills4Work Gateway Programmes, Butchery, Bakery, Retail and individual unit standards

All our tutors are industry experienced and understand the real world practicalities of what they are teaching.
