Nelson Campus
Our main campus which is located in Nelson's vibrant city centre.

The Nelson campus location means quick and easy access to the cafés, bars and shopping in Nelson city. You’re never far from anywhere - whether it’s quality urban time you’re after, or a break in one of the many city parks and public spaces nearby. Getting around is a breeze, especially on a bike, or using the public bus system.

Our Nelson campus is based on a single city block and is an open and easy to navigate environment.

Student and the general public are welcome to make an appointment at Head Zone or Beauty Zone, our on-site training salons for Hairdressing and Beauty and Body Therapy. Or book a table at the Rata Room restaurant where you will be served by our Hospitality and Cookery students.
Marlborough Campus
Nestled among mountain ranges, fertile plains, intricate waterways and thriving aviation, aquaculture and viticulture industries, our Marlborough campus delivers real world learning at its finest.
Richmond Campus
Located on Lower Queen Street, the Richmond Campus is NMIT’s most recent campus addition. Just 10 minutes-walk from the suburbs busy shopping centre.
Located on Lower Queen Street, the Richmond Campus is NMIT’s most recent campus addition. Just 10 minutes-walk from the suburbs busy shopping centre, its home to NMIT’s horticulture, carpentry, maritime, firefighting training and Kaitiaki Whenua Trainee Ranger programmes. Trades Academy and Foundation Studies (TAFS) are also taught here to local college students on Friday’s.
The Campus is easily accessible from Motueka, Mapua and Moutere by car or a 15-minute drive from central Nelson via car or NBus.
Woodbourne Campus
Located 8km west of Blenheim, The Royal New Zealand Air Force (RNZAF) Base Woodbourne Campus is home to NMIT’s aircraft maintenance and engineering programmes.
The NMIT “Into-Employment” aeronautical engineering programme is designed to provide the skills and knowledge needed for a successful career in the commercial aeronautical engineering industry.
NMIT is New Zealand's first approved New Zealand Civil Aviation Authority (NZCAA) Part 147 Certified Maintenance Training Organisation.
Campus facilities include an NMIT 3 bay workshop, RNZAF machine workshop and a number of other purpose-built teaching facilities.
Students utilise the on-site facilities to put their theoretical knowledge into practice by working on a series of real aircraft.
It’s a short 5-minute drive to NMIT’s Marlborough Campus. Buses are also available from Blenheim.
