PROGRAMMES
Garden to Table
An important part of our teaching and learning programme, Garden to Table helps students develop important life skills. Students work together to grow, harvest and cook food. They get dirty, learn about nutrition and try new foods - it’s a fun, empowering programme that is also very practical and hands-on.
Visual Arts
Our talented Art Specialist helps students unleash their inner creativity. The art room is a place where teachers and students work together with our Art Specialist to develop their creative ability, using a wide range of media.
Music
Our music teacher works with children to develop and enhance students’ musical talents. In this class, students learn about rhythm, percussion, patterns, tone, etc. They explore sound and different ways to express their musical ideas.
STEAM [Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics]
Our dedicated STEAM specialist teacher works with students to equip them with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in the 21st century. It helps them develop innovative mindsets and the ability to problem-solve, ensuring that our students become creators of technology, not just passive consumers.
Supporting Diverse Learners
All learners are welcomed and supported at Edendale. Our specialist ESOL (English as a Second Language) programme is supported by Rainbow Reading and Reading Recovery teachers, helping all children to learn and progress.
Sports
Our students participate in a wide range of physical activities. They learn about water safety and gain confidence in our two heated pools [Terms 1 and 4], while Year 5 and Year 6 students get the opportunity to compete in sports events against other schools. These events include swimming, cricket, touch rugby, basketball, football, cross country, netball, softball and athletics.
