Botany Downs School is a highly regarded primary school, with a focus upon high-quality education from Year 1 (5 years old) to Year 6 (11 years old).  We welcome international learners and are proud of the many cultures which attend this school.  We consider our children to be our greatest strength.

The New Zealand Curriculum specifies eight learning areas: English, the arts, health and physical education, learning languages, mathematics and statistics, science, social sciences, and technology.  We promote high standards and expectations while providing opportunities for our students to become independent future-focused learners within a safe and caring environment.   

We offer additional programmes from Specialist Teachers for: English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), Enrichment Programmes in STEAM, Swimming, Choir, Orchestra, and Kapa Haka.  Botany Downs also offers numerous opportunities in sports and clubs. 

We are fortunate to have large playing fields and a swimming pool onsite.  Botany Downs School is situated in a beautiful part of Auckland where there are many open green spaces with parks, playgrounds and beaches for families to enjoy.
