About the course
This 20 week programme is aimed at individuals who are interested in a
career in welding and wish to enter the industry as professional welders.
The Level 4 course builds on the knowledge and skills gained in Level 3 and prepares students for a career in welding.
Fees Free may be available to domestic students only.
Qualification gained: Certificate in Welding and Fabrication (Level 4)

- Level 4 - $4892.98
Entry requirements
- All Students must be 16 years of age or over.
- All Students must have NCEA Level 1
- Students must have successfully completed the Level 3 Certificate in Welding and Fabrication, before starting the Level 4 course.
- Applicants must be fit and able to carry out the physical requirements of the welding industry.
- Applicants should have a desire to pathway onto further study or start a career.
*This course is not available to international students.

The Welding Academy has provided dedicated Welding training to Domestic and International Students for more than 20 years.
We are an NZQA approved Category 1 training provider.
At our state-of-the-art Welding Training Centre near the CBD in Christchurch, New Zealand, we train both Domestic and International Students.
