About the course

The Postgraduate Diploma in Information Systems and Technology (PGDipIST) is an advanced qualification in Information Systems for specialist IT graduates. Students will be encouraged to challenge and continuously improve their existing IS and Technology Management practices. They can combine taught courses and seminars with research options and an internship.

A student wishing to study the PGDipIST is required to have completed a bachelor’s degree (eg, a BCom) with a grade average of B or better in 300-level Information Systems or other related courses, or have a related qualification.

The PGDipIST will comprise taught courses and seminars, and students can choose to undertake a research project (including data collection, analysis and interpretation of findings) or an internship.

Graduates will become globally aware and understand, analyse and critique national and international perspectives on information systems and technology.
