About the course

This intercalated research degree is available to medical students who have completed MBChB Part III and passed the courses for MBChB Part III with a minimum of a B average. It provides you with a unique opportunity to undertake original research and gain in-depth knowledge in a particular field of medical science. It's a pathway for students interested in pursuing postgraduate studies at masters and PhD level, and enhances graduates career and study options.

Entry requirements

You must have completed the first three years of your Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) and passed your Part III courses, or equivalent prior study, with an average GPA of 5.0 or higher. Your application will also need to be approved by the Dean of the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences.

An undergraduate degree in medicine and surgery

IELTS Academic Score required 6.5

No bands less than 6.0.
