About the course

This intercalated research degree is available to medical students who have completed at least the first three years of their Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) and passed the courses for MBChB Part III with a minimum of a B average. It provides you with a unique opportunity to undertake original research and gain in-depth knowledge in a particular field of medical science. It’s a pathway for students interested in pursuing postgraduate studies at masters and PhD level, and enhances graduates career and study options.

Entry requirements

Completion of the first three years of a MBChB degree from The University of Auckland, or equivalent.
