About the course
This is a joint qualification programme and is available to International Students only.
The New Zealand Certificate in Welding (Level 4) (Complex) programme aims to provide learners with the foundational and advanced skills necessary to operate effectively as proficient and independent welders. This programme is designed to cater to individuals who are beginning their welding careers as well as those already employed in the industry seeking to upskill. It equips learners with both the basic knowledge and practical capabilities required at Level 3, and the more advanced techniques, theoretical understanding, and industry-standard practices necessary at Level 4.
Through integrating the content of both qualifications, this programme offers a continuous learning pathway that ensures students develop a solid foundation in basic welding tasks before progressing to advanced welding processes, quality control, and independent operation within various sectors, such as engineering fabrication, steel construction, mechanical engineering, and manufacturing.
This Programme runs for 40 weeks plus holidays, class times are 4 hours per day, five days per week, Monday to Friday.
