About the course

This qualification is intended for people who may have no prior knowledge or experience in hairdressing and who wish to learn hairstyling, colouring tasks and basic hair cutting techniques. Learn skills including:Reception duties in a salonCompleting consultations and hair and scalp analysisShampooing, conditioning, treatments, and removing colour from clients’ hair and scalpRecommending home hair products to meet the clients needsPerform hair styling tasks using a range of techniques and styling toolsUse and maintain cutting tools and demonstrate basic cutting techniques.Undertake a range of colouring services and assist in other chemical servicesMeet the personal hygiene, presentation, health, safety, and environmental requirements of a salon
