New Zealand Certificate in Te Reo Māori (He Pī Ka Rere) Level 4

About the course

This Level 4 Programme will use all the learnings you have gained from the previous levels (Levels 1-3) of Te Reo Māori and develop them even further. Our safe, encouraging, immersive, bilingual, and interactive programme will support you as you begin the final part of the New Zealand Certificate in Te Reo (Reo Rua) Level 4 moving towards full-immersion learning. In Level 4, you will develop a greater understanding of the Māori culture while you practice and build confidence in your Māori language skills. Learn alongside others at the same level and have fun while you’re doing it. In this programme you’ll learn further sentence structures and practice putting all Te Reo Māori sentence structures you have learnt into use in a range of formal and informal situations. You will be able to explain and practice tikanga Māori as well as learning a range of waiata and karakia. When you finish the course, you will have the confidence to advance into full-immersion learning in the Diploma Level 5 level. You will learn:

Sentence structures in formal and informal situations Tenses Tikanga Māori Intermediate language skills Confidence to communicate in Te Reo Māori

Upon successful completion of the Level 4 programme, you will have completed the intermediate programme of study and be eligible to receive the following qualification:

New Zealand Certificate in Te Reo (Reo Rua) Level 4
