About the course
The Bachelor of Hotel Management prepares students for supervisory and management careers within the accommodation, hospitality, tourism, and wider service industries both in New Zealand and internationally.Students study key areas such as marketing, operations, human resources, food and beverage management, event management, legislation, entrepreneurship, and financial accounting. The programme combines practical learning with industry-focused theory, helping students develop applied knowledge and real-world management skills.Through assessments, field trips, volunteering opportunities, industry projects, and internship experiences, students gain valuable first-hand exposure to the hospitality and tourism industry. These experiences help build confidence, leadership skills, professional networks, and workplace readiness, preparing graduates for exciting careers in hotel management, tourism operations, events, retail, customer service, and many other people-focused industries.
