About the course
No two days are ever the same with a career in the Adventure Tourism and Guiding industry.
If you want to work in the great outdoors, guiding people on experiences of a lifetime, an ATG qualification can make it happen.
Develop your advanced skills with this qualification to become a guide and gain industry-recognised certificates in your chosen fields. With more than 80% of teaching in the field, you'll work closely with reputable adventure operators, providing you with real-world skills, experience and industry connections to enter and work in the adventure tourism and guiding industry.
With our Nelson campus being located just a short distance from three national parks, and from rivers, ski fields and caves that are renowned throughout the world by adventurers, you have the ideal classroom right at your feet.

Fast track entry
Entry into this programme is either through completion of the Level 4 Certificate, or if you believe you have relevant experience, you can email a member of the Adventure Tourism and Guiding team directly to discuss your options.
You will need to present evidence to show us you have the capabilities that correspond to the Level 4 Certificate.
