About the course

The Master of Clinical Pharmacy enables pharmacists to use their skills and expertise in research projects and keep up-to-date with the latest innovations.

Students can:

  • Advance knowledge in clinical pharmacy through research and development.
  • Evaluate innovations and advances in clinical pharmacy practice and medicines management services.

Online delivery of most materials (supplemented by face-to-face weekend workshops for some courses) allows students living anywhere in New Zealand to enrol in the programme.

Entry requirements

You must have completed a Bachelor of Pharmacy (Honours) or the Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy with a GPA of 5.0 or higher. You also must hold current registration as a pharmacist in New Zealand and have a supervisor and topic confirmed.

You must have completed either:

  • a Bachelor of Pharmacy with a GPA of 5.0 or higher.
  • a Bachelor of Pharmacy with a GPA of 5.0 in 120 points above Stage III.
  • a Bachelor of Pharmacy, and passed 60 points in a relevant postgraduate certificate, or postgraduate diploma, (or 60 points of relevant 700 level courses) with a GPA of 5.0 provided that the postgraduate certificate or diploma has not been awarded.

You also must hold current registration as a pharmacist in New Zealand.
