About the course

This 60-point programme will provide you with an understanding of information governance concepts. You will acquire a platform of professional skills that will equip you to enter roles related to privacy and information governance.

The PGCertInfoGov will be available to working professionals who need to upskill in this important field by completing a short qualification. It will also prepare new graduates for entry-level career or junior management roles in information governance and/or privacy.

The programme will be offered virtually through University of Auckland Online. You will be immersed in a rich, flexible and interactive learning environment that is designed to help you to learn and to develop professional skills in information governance.

The PGCertInfoGov is an alternative pathway for graduates who are initially uncertain about committing to a masters programme, and for those who do not achieve the required GPA for direct entry to the Postgraduate Diploma in Information Governance (PGDipInfoGov) or the Master of Information Governance (MInfoGov).

Entry requirements

You must have completed the requirements for a Bachelors degree from this University with a GPA of 4.0 or higher (or equivelent prior study) or a Bachelors degree from this University with a GPA of 4.0 or higher in 60 points above stage II. This programme is available for part-time study and is open to domestic students only.
