About the course

This six-month programme is designed to build your skills for long term academic and career success by ensuring the essential layers of learning are in place. It covers a variety of subjects aimed at preparing you for the New Zealand Certificate in Study and Career Preparation Level 4 and then on to the New Zealand Diploma in Engineering with options in Civil, Electrical, Electronic or Mechanical.

You will take core courses designed to equip you with fundamental academic and mathematical skills, then a selection of courses specifically required to advance in your chosen pathway. It is possible to study part time up to 2 years.

This certificate will prepare you for further study by developing your basic and general academic skills before you embark on full time diploma or degree programmes.
