About the course
Fees-free This programme will build on your skills and give you the confidence to take the next step into employment or study in whatever field is of interest to you. There are two courses in the programme. 'Future Directions' will provide you with new ideas, challenges and experiences that will enable you to make positive changes in your life and explore pathways for your future. Topics covered include goal setting, problem solving, budgeting, wellbeing, communication and culture. The "Career Skills" course will build both your confidence and skills within a supportive group environment. You will be able to focus on the study and and/or employment area you are considering. Topics covered include employment, professionalism, communication, education pathways, health and safety, CV development, interview skills, and researching industries.Note: The Christchurch delivery of NZ2862 courses are offered within the Next Step Centre for Women Please note: places are limited on this course and funding may be exhausted throughout the year. We’re experiencing high volumes of demand for foundation education, and we’ll do our best to support and transition learners where possible.
