Certificate in Engineering Fabrication - Steel Construction
NZQF Level 4

About the course

This programme enables you to focus on one of three specific areas of engineering fabrication: heavy fabrication, light fabrication or steel construction.

In addition to learning specific skills in your chosen area, you'll also learn: how to interpret drawings and/or specifications; how to select and use the appropriate fabrication materials, tools and equipment to create industry-standard projects; how to apply knowledge of welding at an industry standard in a commercial environment; and about health and safety and workplace safety culture.

This programme is designed for individuals who are working in the industry and is typically achieved in a workplace environment while completing an apprenticeship. Please contact us for further information about Ara Managed Apprenticeships.

Part-time up to 6 years.

This programme is delivered by Ara to people employed in the engineering and manufacturing industry in an Ara managed apprenticeship. You could become a supervisor or foreman or even set up your own business.
