Hairdressing Level 3 (Youth Guarantee)

Youth Guarantee programmes are FREE* and a great way to learn practical skills and gain a qualification. You can apply for these options if you're 16 to 24 years of age and no longer at school, or you're planning on leaving school. This programme has been designed to provide a broad introduction to hairdressing, and a foundation to build upon with further study. You'll learn about salon culture, hierarchy and terminology so you can communicate appropriately with clients, peers and supervisors. You'll also learn elementary styling skills such as blow drying, moulding, setting and long hair-ups, plus colour treatment basics. Health and safety, hygiene and personal health and presentation within a salon environment are also covered. *Funding availability dependent. Please note: places are limited on this course and funding may be exhausted throughout the year.
