About the scholarship
The New Zealand Biosecurity Institute offers two annual grants from a total funding pool of $3000. The two grants comprise of a Travel Award and a Study Award. In years where applications fail to meet the standards expected by the Institute, the awards may not be issued.
How To Apply
All applications shall be made either using the Online Application Form or by downloading the application from provided and emailing the completed form to the Awards Co-ordinator. Extra pages may be included, but ensure all parts of the form are filled out. The application shall be accompanied by: (a) The names and contact details of two referees. (b) A statement explaining the relevance of the candidate's proposed study. (c) Any other evidence that the candidate judges relevant to the application.
Entry requirements
The Award is restricted to New Zealand citizens or residents of New Zealand and studying a discipline related to biosecurity.
- Evidence of employment and/or registration with a recognised university or other tertiary training provider is required. Where the applicant is currently in employment, preference will be given to applicants who have their employer's approval for research.
