About the scholarship
A postgraduate student is required with a background in molecular biology/bacteriology/genetics to begin a three year research project leading to a PhD degree on the taxonomy and genetics of an Erwinia species which is a potential biocontrol agent for black rot of Brassica. The PhD studentship will be based at the Bio-Protection Research Centre, Lincoln University, New Zealand under the supervision of Dr Andrew Pitman and Professor John Hampton (Bio-Protection Research Centre), and Dr Peter Fineran (University of Otago).
