About the scholarship

The purpose of this scholarship is to provide financial support for a Mana College school leaver intending to study at Victoria University to pursue studies in Computer Science (Bachelor of Science) or Software Engineering (Bachelor of Engineering). While preference will be given to these two career paths, consideration may also be given for studies toward a general Science degree. The scholarship will be awarded each year to one student, with a value of $5,000 per year for three years, for a total value of $15,000.

Students must complete an application form and a one page personal statement. NCEA results achieved to date must be included.

Entry requirements

This scholarship is only available to Mana College leavers for studies at Victoria University of Wellington. • Each student must have attended Mana College for at least one school year in Year 12 or Year 13. • At least one reference must be included when applying for this scholarship. • The selection of the student will be based on both the demonstration of interest and promise in the subject of computer science or general science, and of financial need. • A shortlist of eligible applicants will be drawn up on the basis of the merits of their application in terms of academic achievement and potential, financial need, and the quality of their personal statement. References will also be considered.
