About the scholarship
Victoria University is offering a large number of Summer Research Scholarships to students enrolled at Victoria University or any other New Zealand or Australian University who will be enrolling at Victoria for the following academic year.
To recruit top students into post-graduate study through a summer research experience that introduces them to, and excites them about, research Victoria University is again running a summer research program for students.
How To Apply
Projects are advertised and applications open from September 1st. Applicants must apply online. Each faculty will list their available projects on their website.
Entry requirements
- Applicants will be assessed on the following criteria: o academic merit; o expertise in the research area; o recommendations from staff associated with the research project.
- They should be currently enrolled in an undergraduate, honours or first year masters degree at any NZ or Australian university.
- These students must be enrolling at Victoria for the following academic year. (Students with experience in the area of research may apply at the end of their second year if supported by an academic staff member).
- Scholars must not be receiving alternative scholarship support for the same project or any other over the same time frame.
- The successful Scholar must be supervised by a qualified academic staff member or a research team.
