About the scholarship
Lucy Cranwell (1907-2000) was a founding member of the Auckland Botanical Society. Lucy Cranwell is commemorated by the Auckland Botanical Society through the Lucy Cranwell Field Grants Fund to support botanical research.
The Auckland Botanical Society also holds an annual Lucy Cranwell Lecture whereby a distinguished botanist addresses the Society and guests.

Entry requirements
The Fund will be used to give assistance to a student or students studying for the degree of PhD, MSc, BSc (Hons) or B. Appl. Sci. in any tertiary institution in New Zealand whose projects deal with some aspect of New Zealand's flora and vegetation. Priority will be given to projects relevant to or based in the northern half of the North Island.
