About the scholarship
The Manaia Scholarship was established to support Māori and Pasifika students undertaking an Honours, Master's by coursework, or a Postgraduate Diploma programme in the Faculty of Science and Engineering in 2027. It aims to address the under-representation of Māori and Pasifika students in postgraduate study within the faculty and strengthen pathways to PhD study.
Entry requirements
Applicants must be of Māori or Pasifika descent and approved to enrol into an Honours, Master's by coursework, or Postgraduate Diploma programme in the Faculty of Science and Engineering at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington, and where required, have confirmation of a supervisor.
