About the scholarship
This scholarship was established in 2017 by Tāwhia Copyright Aotearoa (formerly Copyright Licensing New Zealand) to support students enrolled in the Master of Arts in Creative Writing programme, promote publishing in New Zealand, foster growth within the writing and publishing sector, and motivate the next generation of writers.
Entry requirements
Applicants must:
- have applied for admission to the Master of Arts in Creative Writing programme at the International Institute of Modern Letters. Any offer of scholarship will be conditional upon the recipient being admitted to the programme.
- provide a written overview of the work they intend to undertake during their MA study. As part of the selection process, it will be determined whether the proposed work complies with applicable copyright law.
- be a New Zealand citizen or Permanent Resident.
