About the scholarship
The Mike Collins Science Research Scholarship was established to encourage Science students to undertake research degrees. It honors Mike Collins, a physicist who supported young scientists and was a champion of the internet. Preference will be given to Physics applicants carrying out applied research that could be commercialized in the future.
Entry requirements
Applicants must be enrolled, or intending to enrol, in a Master's by thesis at Te Herenga Waka–Victoria University of Wellington. Applicants must be undertaking research in Science. Preference will be given to Physics applicants carrying out applied research that the student could commercialise in the future. A completed online application must be submitted by 4:30 pm on the closing date. Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted. Any required supporting documentation (including references) must also be received by 4:30 pm on the closing date in order for the application to be considered.
