About the scholarship
The Mike Collins Physics Research Scholarship was established to encourage Physics students to undertake research degrees. It honors Mike Collins, a physicist known for his work in the upper atmosphere and his support for young scientists. Preference will be given to applicants interested in commercialisation or entrepreneurship.
Entry requirements
Applicants must be enrolled, or intending to enrol, in a Master's by thesis at Te Herenga Waka–Victoria University of Wellington. Applicants must be undertaking research in Physics. A completed online application must be submitted by 4:30 pm on the closing date. Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted. Any required supporting documentation (including references) must also be received by 4:30 pm on the closing date in order for the application to be considered. The application form must be accompanied by a one-page overview of the intended research project. The applicant's academic transcript. Academic reference (to be requested via the online application). Applicants must complete the financial section of the application and provide supporting documents.
