About the scholarship
The Tū Ātea Scholarship for Māori Engineering Students was established to inspire and support Māori undergraduate Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics or Computer Science and Software Engineering students. This scholarship is designed to nurture future leaders by providing financial assistance, valuable industry connections within the telecommunications sector, and membership in the Future Māori Leaders programme.
Entry requirements
To be considered for the Tū Ātea Scholarship, applicants must identify as Māori and provide their Whakapapa, be enrolled in Year 3 or Year 4 of a BE(Hons) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, or Computer Science and Software Engineering at the University of Waikato, and must not have previously received this scholarship. Each year up to two scholarships will be awarded. Please ensure you read the regulations before you commence the application process.
