About the scholarship
The Dr Alena Vanderborght-Elbl Doctorate Scholarship was established to support a PhD candidate at Lincoln University to undertake advanced research in ecology and/or taxonomy. This scholarship reflects Dr Vanderborght-Elbl's commitment to rigorous inquiry and her belief in the power of science to shape communities and advance knowledge. It supports a doctoral student undertaking research at Lincoln University in ecology and/or taxonomy, continuing the traditions of excellence that defined her career.
Entry requirements
Applicants must have a minimum grade point average equating to an A- (80%) average. Fit of the proposed PhD within the scope of ecology/taxonomy research, with appropriate supervisory team and operational budget. When there are applicants of similar merit, preference will be given to entomological themed projects. Evidence of research experience or other relevant experience is required. Students with barriers to university study are encouraged to apply; e.g. (but not limited to) financial, first generation at university, minority groups, dependants.
