About the scholarship
In memory of Unitec Academic Development Lecturer Lance Laulala and his over 22-year commitment to helping ākonga understand all concepts of maths at Unitec. The Lance Laulala Memorial Scholarship is designed to continue Lance's legacy and his commitment to ākonga. This scholarship is designed to support ākonga in their studies by contributing towards education-related costs.
Entry requirements
To be eligible for the Scholarship, an applicant must meet all of the following criteria:
- Be a domestic ākonga, i.e., a New Zealand citizen or Permanent Resident, or an international ākonga with a valid student visa
- Be enrolled in the New Zealand Diploma in Engineering (Civil), New Zealand Diploma in Engineering (Electrical), Bachelor of Engineering Technology (Civil) or Bachelor of Engineering Technology (Electrical)
- Have completed and passed at least 120 credits within the New Zealand Diploma in Engineering (Civil), New Zealand Diploma in Engineering (Electrical), Bachelor of Engineering Technology (Civil) or Bachelor of Engineering Technology (Electrical).
