About the scholarship
Te Pūkenga is participating in a national Advanced Energy Technology research and development programme aimed at growing the capability and knowledge of learners in this emerging sector. The scholarship provides financial support and encourages domestic students, particularly Māori, Pacific, and women learners interested in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering. It aims to support students facing disadvantage and/or inequitable access to tertiary education.
Entry requirements
To be eligible, you must:
- be Māori or Pacific descent, or
- be a woman (assigned female at birth and/or self-identify as female); and
- be a domestic student, i.e., a New Zealand citizen or Permanent Resident; and
- be in your first or second year of your Bachelor or Diploma level programme; and
- have applied or be enrolled at MIT or Unitec in one of the programmes listed below.
Eligible Unitec programmes:
- New Zealand Diploma in Engineering (Electrical) (Level 6)
- Bachelor of Engineering Technology (Electrical) (Level 7)
