About the scholarship
The Te Ara Whakamua Fund provides financial support to Māori students undertaking placements, internships, professional wānanga, or student hui that contribute to their learning, career development, and cultural growth. It helps reduce the financial pressure of travel, accommodation, kai, and other costs so students can focus on learning and growth.
Entry requirements
You will be:
- of Māori descent
- have completed or be completing a minimum of 15 credits at Massey University
- be currently enrolled in a minimum 15 credit course at the time of application
- undertaking an approved placement, internship, professional wānanga, or hui that is directly related to their field of study or professional development
Applicants must demonstrate the financial assistance required to enable participation in the opportunity.
