About the scholarship
The Te Ara Whakamua Fund provides financial support to Māori students undertaking placements, internships, professional wānanga, or student hui that contribute to their learning, career development, and cultural growth. It helps Māori students take part in activities that build skills, connections, and confidence for the future, reducing the financial pressure of travel, accommodation, kai, and other costs.
Entry requirements
Applicants must be of Māori descent, have completed or be completing a minimum of 15 credits at Massey University, be currently enrolled in a minimum 15 credit course at the time of application, and undertake an approved placement, internship, professional wānanga, or hui that is directly related to their field of study or professional development.
