About the scholarship
The Graduate Women Wellington (GWW) established this PhD scholarship to build knowledge and leadership to enhance the status of women in New Zealand. The scholarship is aimed at exceptional women who will contribute significantly to the advancement of women's academic achievement in New Zealand. The successful applicant will be expected to contribute fully to the economic and social fabric and performance of the country through the knowledge contribution of her doctoral studies and her ongoing leadership influence post completion.
Entry requirements
Applicants must have an academic track record in a relevant discipline, must identify as female (including cis-gendered and trans-gendered), must be New Zealand citizens or permanent residents, and must have completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree with academic distinction. Students whose first language is not English are required to meet the English language proficiency requirements for postgraduate study at Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington.
