About the scholarship
The Graduate Women Wellington (GWW) established this PhD scholarship to build knowledge and leadership to enhance the status of women in New Zealand. The scholarship is aimed at exceptional women who will contribute significantly to the advancement of women's academic achievement in New Zealand.
Entry requirements
Applicants must have an academic track record in a relevant discipline, must identify as female (including cis-gendered and trans-gendered), and must be New Zealand citizens or permanent residents. Students whose first language is not English are required to meet the English language proficiency requirements for postgraduate study at Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington. Candidates must demonstrate how their research will enhance the status of women in New Zealand and provide leadership in thinking and practice on the status of women during and after their studies. Applicants are expected to have completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree with academic distinction. Please refer to the Wellington Faculty of Graduate Research for more details.
