About the scholarship
This scholarship provides an opportunity for Māori students to engage in seismic and geological field studies at Ōkataina volcano, focusing on understanding the volcano's past and present behavior. The project will involve fieldwork campaigns and collaboration with local Iwi, offering valuable skills in seismic and geological research.
Entry requirements
Applicants must be Māori, or of Māori descent. A completed online application must be submitted by 4:30 pm on 22 September 2025. Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted. Any required supporting documentation (including references) must also be received by the closing date in order for the application to be considered.
